Follow Their Lead! Turning Children’s Curiosity into Emergent Projects

When we trust children’s curiosity to guide our teaching, learning becomes deeply engaging and meaningful. This presentation explores emergent projects shaped by children’s questions, observations and ideas. Through real classroom examples- investigating insects, exploring braids, and discovering a rainbow dragon- participants will see how inquiry fosters interdisciplinary connections and collaboration. Rooted in Reggio Emilia principles, this session offers practical strategies for listening, recognizing meaningful moments, and confidently following children’s lead. Let’s reflect, share, and gather inspiration for bringing children’s ideas to life, creating a dynamic learning environment where curiosity drives discovery.
