Block Play and The Role Of Symbolic Representation In Thinking and Learning

It's no secret that blocks prove to be one of the most versatile and important materials for young children. In this session, we will take a deeper look at the symbolic representation skills supported through block play as well as how blocks support development in all domains. We will also explore how children use these materials to show us what they know as they make sense of the world around them.
