St. Paul’s Childhood Center
We are currently hiring for a teacher position. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. It is a 9 hour shift with a 1-hour break scheduled Monday through Friday, either 8:00am-5:00pm or 9:00am-6:00pm.
Job Responsibilities include working in a collaborative environment to create a structured and safe learning community, developing weekly lesson plans based on emergent curriculum and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, positively communicating with families and co-workers, facilitating meaningful interactions and lasting relationships with children, and utilizing observation skills to document children’s learning and developmental progress.
Qualifications and Expectations
●High School Diploma or GED (required)
●Experience in licensed, accredited early childhood settings
●Post-secondary degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
●Working knowledge of early childhood development, diverse communities, and emergent curriculum
●Love and passion for working with children
●Excellent attendance and punctuality
●Commitment to long-term employment
●Must have or be willing to obtain Infant/Child CPR and First-Aid Certification
●Competitive pay scale ($15.00-$18.00 per hour, varies with education and experience)
