    Little Trenders is an onsite child care center that provides a fun and dynamic environment for children of ImageTrend employees. Our philosophy is based on Reggio Emilia Philosophy that embraces children as active learners and provides them with a safe, loving environment in which they can learn through play and exploration of the world around them. We are looking for a full-time creative and passionate assistant teacher to join our team on our Studio and Classroom Support Team.

    Assistant Teacher Floating
    Purpose: To assist in providing a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuals respected.

    Key Responsibilities:

    -To assist in offering a program that meets the emotional, physical intellectual and social needs of all individuals and the group.

    -To fill in as a substitute staff in classrooms to cover staff absences, prep times and meeting times.

    -To facilitate small group experiences with groups of children on a rotating basis.

    -To interact with the children in a warm friendly manner and to encourage involvement in activities and supervise children at all times.

    -To use appropriate positive and consistent discipline with all individuals and groups of children and to train staff by modeling and guidance.

    -To create and maintain good communication and working relationships with fellow staff members.

    -To be dependable, punctual and flexible in the performance of your job.

    -To assist in planning and providing developmentally appropriate materials and activities for children in the following curriculum areas: Language, Art, Music, Creative Dramatics & Movement, Literature, Sensorial, Practical Life, Writing, Geography, and Math.

    Qualifications:
    •Must meet the requirements for Assistant Teacher as outlined by MN Licensing Department. The minimum credentials being a high school diploma, one year experience and 12 semester credits of post-secondary education.
    •Certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred
    •Team-player, flexible, reliable and friendly
    •Previous experience or knowledge of Reggio Emilia Philosophy is a plus
