St. Paul’s United Church of Christ seeks an exceptionally qualified Executive Director for its award-winning “Best of Saint Paul” early childhood education program. St. Paul’s Childhood Center is a family-centered school for early learning, inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational approach, that views children as agents of their learning experiences with valuable ideas worthy of exploration. Our school seeks to foster an enriching, supportive environment facilitated by an educated, experienced, and professional faculty that nurtures a child’s natural curiosity toward the world. We do this through collaboration with families, partnerships in our local community, engaging in anti-bias education practices, explorations of art and nature, recognition of the importance of play, intentional interactions, and promotion of access to early childhood education.
Our next Executive Director will be a seasoned educator and detail-oriented administrator, overseeing our licensed program for approximately 100 children and supported by over 25 staff. She or he will meet or exceed all DHS requirements, holding at least a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in early childhood education or a related field. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, she or he will enjoy the challenge of working in a busy environment and love working with parents and faculty in caring for and educating infants through preschoolers.
St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and its Childhood Center are located at Summit Avenue and Milton Street, across from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and in the heart of the Grand Avenue business district. St. Paul’s Childhood Center has been providing the community with an exceptional resource for early childhood education for 48 years.
Applications will be received until December 12th or until the position is filled. For application information or if you questions, please contact Dr. Jeffrey Palmer, Business Manager, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at Jeff@SPUCConSummit.org.
